Yeah, when I started visiting family out in North Dakota, it took a while to adjust to the different names of things. "Pop" is my "soda", and they all sound Canadian. I picked up the accent a little... and that was when I didn't train my voice, and had a fairly thick New Jersey accent... It sounded odd, to say the least. |

That's like calling any alcoholic beverage in a glass bottle "beer"
Pepsi is not Coke
Root beer is not Coke
Sprite is not Coke
Mountain Dew is not Coke |

It used to be Soda Pop, therefore either will work. And I've never heard a popsicle called pop before. :wtf: |

FYI-Tonic water is..TONIC WATER.
I don't know about you American folk, but here in this Canada-land, we have enough vocab to be able to give everything its own name. |

| What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. | | Boston | | | The West | | | North Central | | | Philadelphia | | | The Northeast | | | The Inland North | | | The South | | What American accent do you have?
