lol, a friend of mine owned a copy, we saw half of it and turned it off and the film itself as become a an inside joke at my work (i work at Cumberland, its a indie theatre:D )

I have a question which some of you might be able to answer:
What does someone mean when they define a movie/actor/director/anything film related as being "pretentious"?
I see so many clueless movie f*cks use that expression without making a point of backing up that claim.
I really want to understand what the hell they mean because as far as I can tell it is nothing more but the obligatory "I don't like this or that or I didn't understand it" excuse/reason to use to shoot down something.
btw yesterday I looked at my posting history on imdb ( a lot of messages aren't on there weird :conf: ) and saw a reply to a question I asked in 2004 and completely forgot about.
