to be honest, i really couldnt tell you, because i never used the term myself. but im gonna take a stab at it and say that the film or actor or what ever is the most important thing 2 happen in film.

you seem like you're not a clueless cinephile so I doubt you'd be throwing that word around to anything you didn't like
And yes I own the Criterion dvd ( I own plenty actually ). At the time I got it from the library but I have purchased it since ( this is a hint to tell you to get Criterion dvds at your local library ;) )
