Bam Bam Bigelow found dead

i know a ton of people hate wrestling, but this guy is probably familiar to a lot of you who watched it when you were younger, just seen the news

Known for fiery tatoos on his head and being unusually agile for a large wrestler, Bam Bam Bigelow died this morning in his home of undisclosed or unknown causes.

He wrestled for WCW and the WWF, among many other regional promotions and international promotions during his career spanning from the late-1980s through the 1990s.

He was diagnosed as a diabetic toward the end of his WCW run in the late '90s. He also had a reptuation for heavy partying in his wrestling days. He was released from the WWF for his "out of control" partying in the late '80s, and he wrestled in Japan afterward before returning to the U.S. for semi-successful stints.

He was in a serious motorcycle accident last year.

He was 45 when he died.

I always remember him as a big bad guy who was pretty scary to a kid of 9/10 years old. R.I.P. to yet another ex-wrestling fatality

i dunno if he was on the 'roids like many, but for anyone considering them, the sheer number of early deaths (30s & 40s usually) ought to put people off doing it. You wonder what'll happen to some of the current lot as loads of them were on the juice, although they're being majorly tested since the death of eddie guerrero
EXTREMUM
That sucks - I grew up watching Bam Bam on TV.

RIP.

Bam Bam......:( Like Ian said he wrestled for some regional promotions, and that included ECW in its glory days in the mid 90's. Bam Bam captured the World Television and World Heavyweight championships in that promotion and had some memorable matches with Taz including the one when they both fell THROUGH the ring mat.

:(

R.I.P. Scott Charles "Bam Bam" Bigelow.

What a shame, I grew up watching the guy wrestle...

RIP to the guy that created the Diving Headbutt from the top rope. :(

The Flying Muffdive was also a classic move

Holy Ian, you found a clip when Bruno and Jesse were still on commentary!

Remember that silly match Bam Bam had versus Lawrence Taylor of the New York Giants (American Football) team? That was at Wrestlemania XI, I think...
