you don't need midi and audio tracks for VSTs anymore. just insert a vst/instrument track.

Instrument tracks are very convienent. And the drag and drop plug-in feature kicks ass.
The ONLY thing that is poopy.
They promised free-routing (side-chaining etc)
and free-routing of groups (which would be super)
BUTTTT. No. Not yet. And there are a few minor glitches (RARELY)
The running joke is that Cubase users are just beta testers for Nuendo, and I see what they mean. Nuendo 4 will be released in Q3 2007. And you can bet it will have all the features I hoped for Cubase 4 when I bought it.
But despite the cons, I love it. And it was worth every penny. I even got the student discount which cut the price in half (399 vs 799)
Let's hope that an update for Cubase 4 coincides with the Nuendo 4 release and gives us the features we were promised.

| Instrument tracks means they get really close to the logic automation for vst's. (With that difference that logic allready had it in logic 5, 5 years ago) Now just an implementation for instruments tracks for multitimbral instruments and we're forever free from the sloppy automation in cubase. That was really the greatest drawback after my switch to logic. (together with the difference in plug-in quality). |

hey guys I don't know why U keep comparing Nuendo with Cubase and saying that Nuendo is the bigger brother of Cubase. Well I must say that Nuendo has functions that Cubase doesn't have but guys look at this from another point. Nuendo is the big thing
Cubase just focuses on music
Also many artists had the same opinion... and IMO this is the rite thing:o

| Hey, this is a little OT, but can you guys tell me what the time stretching in cubase is like? is it comparable to live? Also, how does it handle loops? |
