You know how girls will always tell you that girls really like that "extra special attention" and that they love being told they're beautiful and they love getting gifts...

Whenever i hear that i think to myself "Do guys not like these things? Or is it just that guys don't get super ing pissed when they don't get them?"

Discuss.

Those kind of girls are called "high maintenance," and they can all right off.

well everyone likes it man. The ones who demand it are high maintenance.

You can still be a badass and act that way because you actually like making her happy
kadomony

I was under the asumption we were talking about girls who needed this kind of all the time.

:conf:

If I want to do it, that's a whole other story.

Yep exactly...nothing wrong with it then...

i think it's a two way street.. i've gotten eli flowers on diffrent occasions and did things "just because". he's pretty lucky, i don't celebrate 'valentines day' because it was a stupid holiday the card companies invented to make money durring their low profit months. I went to school with so many girls that made sure their boyfriends filled out their lists of expensive and ridiculous and would cry if they didn't get it. usually we just make homemade valentines and be done with it.

I really wish all girls realized this...they're all so wrapped-up (no pun intended) with gifts on holidays like valentines day they lose the real idea behind the holiday. I blame the media and corporations because they influence women to believe that their boyfriends and husbands have to go out and get expensive jewelry on valentines day in order to show that they love them. Then again it's really the woman's fault for being influenced and not being able to see through the bull.

my boyfriend told me some crazy stories about some girls he dated shortly by the past like once one of the girl decided to go shopping with him.....and he had to pay for all the things she was getting

things are clear between us ....we share the costs.....no way imma let him pay for everything nor will i pay for everything and i think its the best way

i agree that alot of media and corporations do too, but i think they also influence the guys as well, i've seen close to or as many expectations from guys at christmas time, valentines day, not so much. Either way, i was one of those girls that was influenced by the media into thinking that because my parents were paying for my wedding that i could have the wedding i always wanted (bbq in backyard with few close friends and family) instead, my mum called all the shots and i got married in a church and the reception was in the gym eli and i only knew about 1/3 of those that came, the rest were probably for schmoozing purposes which was total bull to me. We left our wedding early and went to a hotel, ordered pizza and went to bed. Last time i let tv fool me into what to expect!

this disappoints me rob. i think everyone likes to hear that they are beautiful and appreciated...don't you think myra deserves to be told that? i know that actions speak louder than words, but sometimes it's just nice to hear it. women like to feel loved and pampered and appreciated. well, not ALL women, but a lot of them do...and i don't think that necessarily makes them high mainntenance at all.

and it goes both ways. when i'm involved with a guy, i make him feel like he is the only thing i ever need. i like to verbally express things like that. like if we're getting ready to go out, and my man comes out of the room all ready to go, lookikng and smelling nice, i'm always like, "damn baby you u look smokin...i'm gonna have to kick some ass tonight'
