Quality wise, he might be a little better than they are, and like I said, not quite as silly. But he's still more similar to them than other trance/dance producers. His music is mainstream, it's catchy, it's super-accessible, it's pop..it's always been. You hardly hear him produce stuff that doesn't have either some female singer singing about love, or the rain or sunshine or whatever or with over-the top melodies (his first album had mostly that, the singing was minimal to none, now it's lots of singing with over the top melodies combined). Thats not to say that it's bad because it's like this, but it's not on the same level of sophistication as Paul van Dyk, BT, or Oliver Lieb, or any well known trance producer. |

I agree..he hasnt done a good 'trance' album since 'Dedicated' back in 2002, but ALL his chill-out tracks are class  |

| The only really good EDM track on CD 1 is "Beautiful Worlds" the rest is pop music. CD 2 on the other hand, is great...I agree with the others..it is one of his best and he can definitely do great chill out music. I think he's more of a melody guy than a beat guy anyways, his beats are nothing to write home about...though some of his basslines are pretty cool. |
