nathan knox
if the daws vst plugs where taken out of context which daw wud you choose?
Mr.Mystery
What?
TrickDaddE
I think he is trying to say what DAW do you prefer in itself? i.e. If it came with no VST's or Dxi's out of the box.

As a Production tool / Workstaion itself for Track Layout, Automation, Midi and Audio editing Capability goes!

Mysteryman's reply was addressing the mindnumbing stupidity of the question more than anything else. As everyone here knows it will just devolve into a pointless list that resembles something like:

Trancepants47: 'Cubase SX!'
Psyguy21: 'No! Logic 7!'
Trancepants47: 'No Cubase SX!'
Mysticalninja: 'NOOBS. If u cant get pr0 sounds out of fruity u shuld give up and get a job in McDonalds instead. lolol.'

After about 10 replies and 20 views, the thread will sink to the bottom of the forum and DIE slowly and painfully. Unless we bump it with with retarded come back replies and ZING! posts.

To the original poster:
Just download demos of a bunch of sequencers and see what you like.

It is the industry (as in recording industry) standard. And I would agree that from a purely DAW standpoint, it's the best. The only problem with it is it's inaccessability. I mean, first of all, you need a Mac to use ProTools effectively. Then there's the price for just the interface. From a practicality standpoint, I like Ableton Live and use it the most.
