as a kid, i use to have these nightmares, i still remember them vividly, but what made it so odd was that when i dreamt it in color it wasn't bad it was rather soothing, but when i dreamt it in black and white, i'd be scared less. the dream was as if i was suspended floating with my face pointed to the ground - legs up in the air floating and i'd be floating ontop of a sunflower, not an overly huge sunflower, but a tiny one like you see in lawns sprouting up randomly. anyways i'd be floating over it face down such that the sunflower was extremely close to the tip of my nose and i'd just stare at it.

staring at it in color i got this warm feeling like everything was ok, but when i dreamt that i was staring at it in black and white, i'd wake up scared to death, it was this very dark and still moment that seemed like i couldn't get out of it, i'd be stuck there just in black and white....

those dreams/nightmares stopped around 11 years old....never came back..

i had nightmare for about 4 years too, when i was like five to nine or so. sucked.

I dream very vividly quite regularly. Dreams so vivid that they blend into my memory. At times I wake up and still don't know whether it was a dream or whether it was something that really happened.

Sometimes it freaks me out when I remember something out of the blue (or something reminds me of a certain incident or discussion) and I can't tell whether it really happened or it was a dream.

That aside, I love dreaming. I actually get work done in my dreams. Back in college more than once I solved math problems in my dreams that I was struggling with the night before. I have had conversations with people and used it as a basis to take decisions.

I've had that too, but usually has to do with childhood dreams/memories. Since they are both so faint and vague, I can't always remember if something really happened when I was a child, or if I merely dreamt it.

Same.

But that's what I was told.
I do remember having dreams in color, and in b & w though.

Recently I had a dream that I was in 4th grade again. When I woke up, I was actually upset that it wasnt real. it felt cool being a kid again. its funny how when your a kid all you think about is growing up, and then you grow up and miss the days of being a kid.

+1!!

I miss the days when my only worry was getting the most comfy pillow in the story corner.

I was in cramming school, some years ago, and the class extremely boring.

I looked back and saw this gorgeous busty girl. Suddenly she took her shirt off and asked me...

"(Am I) Good/Hot?"

I then looked at her and said...

"Heh, you've got no idea of how good/hot you are!"

She then replied...

"Wha? No, not 'good', 'fly'1! You know, like that Red Bull advert!"

I then looked back and I realised I had a pair of wings. And then, I flew and hit my head on the ceiling. The teacher then, calmly looked at me and said...

"Student, what are you doing up there without wings?". Once again, I checked and I had no wings! I then fell and woke up.

I woke up so scared, because it felt so real. I then realised I couldn't have flown in the first place, so there's no reason why that could be real. I then looked back and the busty girl still had her shirt on.

Later that semester, I asked her out, she said yes, but this dream haunted me and I ended up never really setting up a date :p

1 The feminine form of 'Good' (which can be used as "hot" when referring to girls) is "Boa", and 'Fly!' is "Voa".

Yeah, dude...it's like what if we're dreaming right now but when we go to sleep we "wake up"?

In my personal experience with dreaming it's interesting and I think many others share this in that I had far more nightmares as a kid than I do now. Now I very seldom have nightmares if at all, when I was kid they were a common occurrence. Perhaps it's because as a kid more of the world is unknown and scary? Then again as I grow older and learn more the world seems to be more scary so I don't know. Maybe it's just a product of a developing brain.

i had a horrible nightmare once that felt so real that i woke up freaking out and had to call people to tell them about it in the middle of the night.

i still remember it perfectly..probably the only dream i remember.

I've had a couple of nightmares where I'd wake up and actually bolt out of my room cuz I thought it was real.
For one of them, I didn't go back into my room for the entire day.
The other one, I ran and got a knife before creeping back to my room.... after turning on all the lights in the house.
