It filled up the later it got. This place definitely has an afterhour vibe that I would compare to Vinyl (pre-arc)
Sound was awesome. StephaneK played really good NYC tribal tracks. I heard Creamer came on later - wow!
It is in the middle of nowhere next to the fedex facility by 33rd & west side hw.
The only gripes I have that I hope they will correct:
1. The door is WAY too expensive. $25 on guestlist? c'mon!
2. Lack of decent promotion. I only heard about the event word of mouth from a friend coming down from Canada! WTF! They need to make friends with the local promoters and DJ's if they want to be successful.
That's really it. The space is much nicer on the inside and they serve alcohol. I'm sure it is 21+ which is a big plus.
Summary - the next Vinyl if they promote right and get a DJ that can set up a residency that will pull in the people. |
