Haha, whacked a couple of golden oldies of sets past in there, had to be done!

As you put it "doing a Tiesto"! It might be seen as a little indulgent, but I always enjoy reading about other dj's thoughts on tracks in their mix-really does give an insight on their opinions etc. yeah.

You'll have to do a far-east flavoured mix now squire, in response to your trip!

Hope you like the set:cool:

Ok, the link still works for me but I've added another one on the first page as well, so hopefully that will stop those downloading blues!

Okay, I've listened through this a few times at work. I have no technical complaints about this mix. However, compared to the first session, I did not enjoy this tracklist as much. Of course this simply comes down to the all important and subjective matter of personal preference. I felt that session one simply had more of that slow, melodic, dreamy trance/progressive sound that I enjoy.

Please continue mixing and posting your sets. I remain a fan and loyal listener! :D

Ok cool, thanks for the comments Zoso.

I would agree with you I think about the slight differences in the two mixes, I certainly enjoy the progression of the 1st mix more-although there are tracks in the second that I absolutely love! It's hard finding that balance between mix progression and inclusion of your favourite tracks in a set context.
The other main reason for this is the relative lack of (quality) dreamy progression and trance today, it takes so long to find specific tracks that are suitable-hence there are a few older tunes in there this time. Hope you still enjoyed it tho :p
Zoso
I agree. It can be very difficult to find track after track of high quality tunes that really make a mix like this progress well. But the fact remains that you pulled it off well with session one, and it will remain on my play list for months to come. Cheers! :D

what a great set this is. I listened to it on a 8hour traintrip yesterday, slightly dozing off on this great music. this is the prog I like!

Ah cheers mate!

Sitting on a train while looking out the window is probably the best way to listen to music for me:p You can get totally immersed in it and hypnotised by the scenery rolling past! Glad u liked it sir.

Sos my reply's taken so long squire! I needed the chance to listen to it properly 100% thru.

I think its an awesome mix and a great way to develop the series. The progression works really well, I did find myself drifting off to the beats and getting lost in it. The tracks blend subtley so when theres a noticable change or breakdown it made me stand up and take notice!

I like the way you've not produced an exact copy as Windmill Session 1, I feel this one goes slightly deeper and with the suspition of slightly trancier sounding tracks at the end it feels as if you're pushing the mix and giving a little taster of how a longer set could develop.

I love that Deepsky track and as a transition it worked perfectly and the last tune is a true unearthed jem!

Well done mate, this will be on my mp3 for a good while and I very much look forward to Session 03! ;)

Yeah, the transistions are quite subtle to help with the flow, though near the end I made them more noticeable, as I feel it lends itself to the more up tempo sound.

Definitely more trancier near the end this time and tho I love trance its hard to jump straight into it without the deeper sounds as a progression 1st-so I agree with you. I'd love to do a longer mix as you get more time to develop the sound, thats something I'll do in future for sure.

Well cheers for introducing me 2 that track in the 1st place;)
The Cominotto tune is pure bliss but perhaps suffered being released on BXR at the time-not a label known for its chilled trance beats!

Thanks again mate, feedback is always welcome.

ps. Maybe a back-2-back mix sometime? Sexy Windmill Sessions??:D
