WINDMILL SESSIONS 02 FEBRUARY
Hey guys, my first mix seemed to go down quite well, so Im posting the second installment. As before you can expect deep, beautiful melodies to dream along with!
Track progression is a very important part of these mixes to me as a journey has to be experienced by the listener from start to finish, I hope I have acheived this in a way:)
Kaito-Holding a Baby
Flipform-Sunscape
Cassino and Laben-Inventiveness Vibration
Bent-As You Fall (micahs swollen booty mix)
The Last Atlant-Instinct (emersia vs storyteller remix)
Steiger-Postcard From the Edge (underdub)
Logiztik Sounds-Be Free
Mikas-Spirit Emotion (guillaume nyckees remix)
Deepsky and Marc Mitchell-Lost in the Moment (matthew adams remix)
Stefan Anion-Orion's Belt
Daniel Gregory-The Secret
Massimo Cominotto-Iron Butterfly (cominhouse mix)
Kaito-Holding a Baby
A serene and thoughtful opener by the ever-reliable Kaito. The title really sums up the emotions you experience from this track.
Flipform-Sunscape
The next tune is introduced by sparkling melodies and warm synth washes to keep the floaty feeling going.
Cassino and Laben-Inventiveness Vibration
The mix then goes deeper into a chilled, subtley-building tune that sets the scene for the next track.
Bent-As You Fall (micah's swollen booty mix)
One of my favourite vocal tracks. Its been around for a bit but I still hum the melody today! It fits really well into the progression of the mix.
The Last Atlant-Instinct (emersia vs storyteller remix)
The mix then floats into some more deep and dreamy progression. This track has wicked production values and is one you can really lose yourself in.
Steiger-Postcard From the Edge (underdub)
Next is a track from a few years back by Steiger. The chanting vocals, twinkling pianos and overall vibe create a stunning atmosphere.
Logiztik Sounds-Be Free
The mix then gets a little darker with the deep, throbbing 'Be Free'. This tune hints at melody and continues to build for the next track.
Mikas-Spirit Emotion (guillaume nyckees remix)
Like the light at the end of a tunnel this tune is heralded by shimmering melodies and warm synths against a backdrop of tribally percussion. The breakdown in this record is beautiful!
Deepsky and Marc Mitchell-Lost in the Moment (matthew adams remix)
The mix is now entering the trancier section and this is the perfect transistion track. Plenty of energy and a real journey to get lost in.
Stefan Anion-Orion's Belt
A beautiful, dreamy trance tune with carefully directed pace and warm sweeps to envelop the listener.
Daniel Gregory-The Secret
The mix is then carried into more trancier territory with this energetic and melodic track. Proof that quality trance still does exist;p.
Massimo Cominotto-Iron Butterfly (cominhouse mix)
To close out the mix is one of my favourite tracks of all time. It features lovely, soft synth work amd creates a vivid soothing atmosphere. For me this encapsulates 'dream trance'!

I listened to the mix... its a slower more chill mix. To me it was ok. BUT to others it may be awesome.
I was not liking the first track at all, I actually skipped though more of it to find the second track.
Overall it was an ok mix for me. |

Yep, the emphasis is more on the chill, rather than full-on trance.
