I don't see why anyone would have a problem being padded down for weapons... Sure it won't prevent something like this 100% of the time, but it will deter people from trying to bring weapons to the club.
Also I'm white so I think I will avoid Ruby Skye like the plague now :nervous: :tongue2 :nervous: |

i'd avoid 1015 folsom, far more of those scary azn gangsters Gehzumteufel was talking about frequent there than ruby skye. ruby's still got more of a lily white crowd so you're safe. |

Untrue. In the past 3 years since I have returned back to 1015, there has been little or no violence in the club. I dont want to think that there will be in the future, but I feel safer with 1015's security roaming the club than any other club in the city. Im not just saying that, if you notice I think they do a excellent job at combing the crowd for idiots. The Security there actually does their job, rather than standing in the corner picking their noses all night.
Safe at Ruby?? What are you kidding me? Ruby I've never felt safe at. I either make it up onto the stage or chill in the smoking room. With the amount of people that are there on a good night, and trying to wien my way through the crowds people push, trample and step on you. Most of the causes of the fights at ruby are either from some guy grabbing up on someone elses girl, or " you spilled my drink". I almost never see Ruby Skyes security out on the floor, or even noticeble enough in the crowd for anyone to give a damn.
The fact that they do not pat anyone down or use metal detectors at the doors in my eyes makes things worse. People come to a club to dance, not stand around and socialize. If you wanna socialize, join a social group! :o
Both clubs also have their own crowds. 2'o clock power drinkers at ruby go home when the bar closes, ravers and dancers all throughout the club at 1015 till the wee hours on almost any given saturday night.
Azn gangsters? Gangs are everywhere.. no need to stereotype. If I was hanging out with a bunch of my filipino friends would you sterotype me as bein in a gang?
& Rizen if you ever need a ride home bro ill take you, dont even hesitate askin me. |

In any case comparing Ruby Skye and 1015 based on events such as this is just ridiculous. In a manner of constructive pros and cons to explore different possibilities for a good time, makes more sense.
Based upon this unfortunate incident people can have an ongoing discussion about their good and bad experiences at various venues. All the opinions I've read so far, dispute it all you want; but these examples of incidents or stereotypes happen at all venues with events of any kind using different security standards. Things like this are going to happen at events with large crowds and alcohol. It really is as simple as that.
This has nothing to do with the way Ruby Skye is or the way 1015 is based on their staff and crowd. This isn't about oh we're the electronic music scene this shouldn't be happening. Please as great as that sounds it's just not realistic. Our audience isn't immune to violence or drama.
In any case it's not like venues are welcoming violence, especially 1015 and Ruby Skye. Their security teams work hard every weekend to do what they do.
Hopefully those injured recover soon enough and that the industry learns from this to increase safety in any way. |

interestingly enough i cant answer this. why? because the way you judge someone you think is a gangster its a factor of many things. one of which is the way you dress. also the way you carry yourself. fi you walk around the club like you own it and people need to move for you and you have an aggressive look then yes i would assume you were, but if you looked and carried yourself like rich then i would assume your a chill guy. |
