i still stand by my previous comments but i do agree that these things happen at ALL types of events at some time or another. it is unfortunate that it does happen and it would be awesome if it could be eliminated but unfortunately that will enver happen. if someone is determined enough to get a weapon in they will. |

what a shame -- i wonder what employee it was? bar tender? security? i know quite a few employees and the security tries to stay on top of propblems at ruby.
you know this really sucks but i always wondered about the lax entry at ruby. infact, when the murder at pvd @ 1015 happened i remembered someone posting 'you can sneak a missle launcher into ruby' which is true because they just let you in.
i hope they don't get over protective though and cause entry to be a nightmare instead of smooth and relatively quick like it is now |

No worries Erotic... Ya, im kinda sick of that too. A couple parties I went to recenty, I invited them to both Ruby and 1015 events... I always get annoyed when I hear people say something like, I wont go there because there are too many asians, or blacks or whites..
I expecially dislike people sterotyping a venue because they have a majority of a paticular race.
I still stand by the saying you cant judge a book by its cover.. Every race has its moron of the group. Violence is universal.
I do think that patting people down over at Ruby wouldnt hurt. Would you not feel safer in an enviroment where you know some nutball isnt gonna go gun crazy or something? |

Oh it happens all the time at rap events...you can pretty much expect it there but damn keep that crap away from EDM. I'm sure they had some sort of hip hop music in another room, ************ it's unfortunate. It seems that people are steering away from hiphop events & venturing to other clubs such as Ruby Skye but with them they bring that same hiphop mentality.

Also...I love the Asians, they party hard & damn without them some of the clubs would be empty. Another thing I love about Asian people is they don't give a f_ck about what other people think, they'll party until they're 40 with no shame.:gsmile: Of course you cannot generalize an entire race I am just talking about the Asians I have come in contact with in the club scene, there are bad apples in every race, whites included. |

I've been lucky to have nothing bad happen to me all times I've walked around the city in the middle of the night/morning :) The most serious thing I've seen has been at Ruby Skye actually. Some guy was extremely jealous and protective of his girlfriend and kept asking me questions and then almost got into a fight with a VIP guest right in front of security, and they did nothing. This was when Armin was there about a year or more ago. Felt bad for the girl too because she was really enjoying Armin's set but had a jerk boyfriend.
