IT's very nice, but extremely expensive.
musicsnob_NOT
Bymark
Abercrombie
Bistro 990's my fave, but you can have a prix fixe menu at the top of the CN tower for about 60pp, including the ride up. I did that last year, and it was a hit.

The Ear
Nectar
You want to impress w/ decor ...this is the place
You want to impress w/ food.... this is definitely the place...but I"m not so sure you'll get a table there this close to Valentine's day.... another homerun (mind you again, it's likely boooked solid by now) is Rain....brilliant Asian fusion)

If you are going to splurge then do it right at Canoe -- they have excellent chefs plus you can't beat the view from 55 stories above (unless you go to 360 at CN Tower). In my opinion if you are going to shell out $100+ for dinner Ultra is not worth it. And Rain (as the person above mentioned) is another great one!

I work at Canoe- we are fully booked for Valentines day.
However, we will be offering the same pre-fix menu on Saturday Feb 10th for an early valentines day dinner.

If you are looking for North American cuisine, try Jump.

just curious.. I was there for Winterlicious last saturday. I noticed you only had the Winterlicious menu and no regular menu to go along with it (I have been to a few others like Toula and Pangea which had their regular menus). i wonder why that is?

and Anton, as for steak, my favorites are Octagon, Harbor Sixty, and Toula (Westin Harbor Castle) which has a beautiful view.

We are normally closed for private funtions on Saturdays and Sundays. We were open for Winterlicious only for two weekend's in a row and maximize the seatings for those two nights in order to allow more people to participate in the program. The kitchen would not be able to pump out 400 winterlicous meals aswell as extensive tasting menus all in one night.

Throughout Winterlicious, we keep about half our reservations for regular a la carte dinning. We don't do this on weekends because we arent normally open anyway.
