1% of YouTube video threads are funny and/or worth watching. i feel like the other 99% come from people who honestly can't think of witty/intelligent/entertaining things to say, so they post stupid videos instead... because god forbid if they stop posting for 10 minutes, the world might implode or something.

we do have a "Humour / Funny Stuff / Cool Web Sites" forum, which imo is where all YouTube video threads should get posted. but they don't, because no one really checks that forum... and no one wants to create threads in a forum where they're going to get less attention.

i've actually been thinking of a good way to handle the influx of YouTube video threads that have been created lately, but i'd like to hear more opinions from you guys and also some opinions from other mods.

i think another option might be to create a Videos sub-forum so that it was accessible from COR... that way none of us would have to browse outside of COR if we wanted to check out some videos. or maybe even move the Humour forum into COR so that it was a sub-forum in here. i'm not sure if that's possible but it's worth looking into.

I say one thread for personal content ( use DarkAngels one )
and one thread for random funny

there is obviously the occasional video that warrants a dedicated thread like tubularbills c0re news and the likes.

I say there is no need to sticky anything as if the rule is made fairly clear that these specific threads are to be used for these types of contents then they will be fairly popular and keep coming back up.

But all this requires a little more pro-active modding ... but I better not go there as the subject is so delicate despite being so important ...

Should be the end of the story (it's the best option I can see) right there IMO. :)

Better yet, why not create a film / TV sub-section where you can also post youtube vids. Anything YouTube, Film or TV related that gets posted in the core, either gets deleted or moved.
