Many thanks for your advise, DjRV ;)

Speeding up the track is really simple. Just import the vocals into a sound-editing program and speed them up (without changing the pitch) with 8,333333333333% to go from 120bpm to 130bpm. Or if you want 140bpm, speed it up with 16,6666666666% ;)

Yes, I know the way to change them. Sound Forge for example is a really cool software for that.:D
I didn't change the original tempo of Jaana's voices cos she is an ambient/experimental music composer (trance style is mine):D and I wanted her to like my remix so I decided to make a combination between ambient and trance.;)

math-genious! :p

Are you serious? Ehh... You really should check up on your comment before you throw me to the wolfs. I'll show you how:

1% of 120bpm = 1,2bpm

To find 130bpm (which is a raise of 10bpm) you need to divide 10 by 1,2. That is 8,33333333%

To find 140bpm (which is a raise of 20bpm) you need to divide 20 by 1,2. That is 16,6666666%

To prove this even more, just look:

120bpm * 108,3333% (which then is 100% + 8,3333%) = 129,9999bpm

120bpm * 116,6666% (which then is 100% + 16,6666%) = 139,9999bpm

Ehem... :whip: Nå syns jeg du gjør skam på deg selv, dj_palm :p

Haven't heard of them.. They aren't even on wikipedia? You call that successful? Of course there are many talented girls producing out there - that's a fact !! BUT - why aren't there any girls in the charts, top-lists, radioshows etc...? Did I prove my point?

Ok, let's have a listen to this track:
The sounds are quite nice, although I'm only listening to lo-fi. The soundclick-player didn't work.. Soundclick is not a very good site imo. The first part of the track is kinda repetetive. Percs looping over and over, and same transitions. The first time I heard the transition-percs I was kinda amused. But then you used them over and over and over.. Hmm.. The vocals seems out of line? As if the pads doens't fit with them at all. After that, when the melody comes in, the tracks gets a huge lift. That melody fits SOOO well with the rest of the atmosphere. Very well done on that melody. Chill, melancholic and beautiful :toocool:

Quite nice track - though it seems a little thin. Judging you alongside male producers on this forum makes me only call it a decent track. 6/10 imo

Keep it up, Iris. Not many girls in this scene, so you're almost one-of-a-kind. That's cool

BTW I listened to the other tracks on your myspace. Pretty good. You like to use portamento in your melodies, I hear :p Hehe! "The Other Side" has a nice, slim portamento-melody. But Iris, I hear that same perc-transition also in this track. Same goes with the sounds. Try experimenting with new elements in your tracks. Don't get me wrong, it's nice for a producer to have a certain style, but variation is both healty and helpful to make you grow as an artist and learn even more. You don't want to get the "pre-rack-setup" reputation as certain producers have. Like, they're useing the same elements and sounds in most of their tracks. Icone (Wim Van Gelder) has a very monotone style - with every track sounding pretty much the same. The structure, the sounds, the melodies, the patterns..everything is somewhat similar from track to track.

Please don't see this as bashing from my side. I'm only trying to give you constructive critics & feedback to help you grow as an artist. If you find it helpful or not, I don't know. I'm just saying

Hey Alex, to end this one: KT Tunsdale! ;)

BTT: I think, that the song is good, but - as already mentioned - I would force the speed a little bit.
And I like the whispering singer. ;)

Yeah, I kinda agree. "Hey guys, look over here - 2 girls!!" Ehm...We're here for the music, ok? Anyway, to be honest I think that the issue on girl-producers is kinda strange. Can anyone name ONE successful girl-producer? And then I mean in ANY genre. Hmm.. I know only one - Imogen Heap. She's the only girl I know who produces her own tracks, and not only sings in 'em.

Cheers,
Alex Pea

...missy elliot is a great producer :D !!

For real! :eyes: She's damn talented that girl!!! The fact that she's been working with Timbaland for MANY years is sad though.. Artists such as him should be banned from the music-industry. :whip:

Amazing track! Love it entirely (great vocals especially!), even at this low bpm :D

But making it faster would make it suitable for trance DJ's and I'm sure many of them would want to play the track, so you should definitely try that!

I wanna buy this! Is it signed yet? :)
Gladius
well, don't just change your track just so 'trance dj's can play it'. I like the pace as it is right now; very easy listening and nice vocals!
