No a bad idea at all for new peps that join here and are just getting into trance.
Back in late 90s, I really got "first" started with trance as a genre w/ Oakenfold.
(but i wasnt overly appreciative of that sound until 2003 when i first discovered for myself clubs that played this music and experience it first hand...) ... the scene and ppl I enjoyed 110% more than the gino-dominate euro club scene... which is also what added in my speedy adoption of hte music. the greater appreciate of the vibe at parties.
I still still most a euro and happy hardcore fan back before 2003! :D
