Doesn't anyone else seem to think its weird (or wrong) that a tobacco company is fronting the bill for the entire night? Oakie already looks like he's been smoking for years!!! Yeah - that can't be good for ya...
Are they do any other shows like this in other cities?

| When I got my tickets the girls giving them away said they were only given about 40 tickets for the night. They were only giving them away for 4 nights. So i'm guessing there will be plenty of room for the who's who to squeeze in. There was a limit of 2 per person but me and my friend talked them out of 14.:) |

People who don't know that much about DJ culture or the music itself are familiar with Oakenfold's name and what he represents. Of course, many people who think they're unfamiliar with Oakenfolds music actually may have heard it often, thanks to appearances globally on the radio and TV featured in commercials supports mega brands such as Coca-Cola, Toyota, Motorola and Saab all which ran throughout 2005, not to mention his contributions to hit films such as Swordfish (which Oakenfold scored), The Matrix Reloaded and Michael Manns Collateral. In fact, when the superstar DJ sold out the Hollywood Bowl a couple of years ago, many pundits viewed the events as definitive proof that dance culture had finally arrived in America--a force as powerful as any other in modern pop music.

There is no printable ticket at their website. You have to show up at their events to get the tickets. The last dates to get the tickets are Thur 2/22 and Maxbar and at Crobar on 2/23. Beware I went to Maxbar last week and no one showed up from Camel. Went the next night to Crobar and got them no problem. I told the girls when I picked them up that no one showed up at Maxbar and they said they knew who was supposed to be there and would tell their supervisor that they did not show up. And yes I did hear Sandra Collins will be opening!:)

I just clicked the link again to make sure they hadn't removed it or something..... Looks like a printable ticket to me, man! The email I got says "Free show" as the subject and a picture of this "ticket" within. NOWHERE does it say that tickets need to be picked up anywhere in particular. It just presents this graphic image, that says TICKET on it. You do the math! Of course, it does say "admission is not guaranteed" at the site. And of course, I am not even going, but I will entertain this just for argument's sake! heh. Who knows what they will tell you at the door if you bring this there, but, with it being a free show, you have nothing to lose! And if you don't get in, guess what, there are 10 other things going on in Chicago that night.

Anywho I managed to get 14 of them and they all have serial numbers on them. Why would they have a number to call to get them that tells you to show up at a certain time and place if you could just d/l them for nothing. No where on the page does it say to copy and print this and show it at the door. I plan on getting there early anyways to avoid any complications. Indeed Filo & Peri would be a great alternative!
It actually tells you on the post above that tickets are available by calling that 866 number. |
