The new Mitsu Lancer is the based off the EVO10 concept (not the EVO8).
EVO10 is a bloody hot car. Any of us would be lucky to get our hands on one.
The car should launch in Canada in late-March/early-April with deliveries in the 2nd half of the year. |

The way that thing can be driven, holy crap it just doesn't matter.
That car is computerised so you can never veer off the road, you can steer that thing with ONE FINGER and lord knows at what speed. 0-60 in three seconds? bloody hell and there's space in the back for three people to sit comfortable.
I'm pro Toyota, but this beauty has gotten my attention.
[however, Mit -PAJEROS totally different story] |

| I like the front end, nothing looks more tough on a car than flat black. Hopefully it makes it to production and doesn't get replaced with a cheesey/plastic looking gunmetal colour. |

Ya I'm big into the car scene (own a WRX) and the reason why the past EVO's haven't made it into Canada is because they don't pass the 5km/h crash test. Every car entering into Canada is allowed up to a certain amount of damage in $$ and because of the EVO's front mount, even at the 5km/h impact it still doesn't pass.
Same thing happened with the SRT4's the first year - USA got them in 2003 we didnt get them till 2004. Frankly, Mitsubishi didn't feel like modyifing the front bumper of the EVO's for a small niche of people in Canada who would even buy them - Chevy on the other hand did, and succeeded.
Yes, the rhumors are true and Mitsu will be bringing the next set of EVO's in, but really - nothing will be like the old versions, they were just a lot better looking in my opinion.
I'll stick with my 300hp WRX though ;)

This is going to sound somewhat hypocritical since I have a computer directing torque to different wheels depending on wheelspin, and ABS, but I prefer to be the one driving the car, not the computer.

Maybe 3 Japanese boys will be comfortable. |

HEY EVERYBODY LETS POST PICTURES OF $100,000+ CARS IN A THREAD ABOUT A $40,000 CAR
IT'S SUCH A GREAT IDEA THAT MAKES PERFECT SENSE
Anyway, I prefer the new Subie Impreza hatch to the Evo X. Also I bet the Lancer Evo X we get will be drastically modified at the front to meet our draconian front-impact tests. Inside sources say November 2007 for the Lancer Evo X in Canada.
