This damn town is loosing it. All of our good small venues are closing down or turning into rap.
We need to get together and get a club back to EDM (Trance, Progressive) music on the weekends. Any ideas? |

| i know it's not small by any stretch of the imagination, but bar rio was great for G&D last week -- from the staff and crowd to the drink specials and sound system. doubt they can improve on much, though sails, drapes, or some hanging inflatables [hush, steve :wtf:] would be nice to fill some of the space above the dancefloor. hope to see many more big names play that venue. |

triple post much? hehe j/k.
where was Touch? I'm trying to remember if I ever went there.
isn't Eden the new name for Rich's or something? I never figured out just wtf that place is/was or what the hell happened to Rich's since at some point it just seemed to drop off the map as a venue (which is too bad because that place is awesome). If Rich's/whatever ever gets permanently closed I will be quite sad, and it would be nice to see more events there again. It's a bit smaller than say M-bar, but the layout, sound, and lighting imo blows anything else in the city away.
I guess it's not "small" but just "smaller," but I've really enjoyed myself every time I've gone to Clarks & Deans. Always enjoy the Davenport Lounge too but I guess that's more of a Wednesday thing than a friday/saturday.
Essentially, Houston needs a new Hyperia. We should pool our resources, buy a ty warehouse somewhere on the edge of downtown, and dump 40,000 Watts of sound into it, screw furnishings. |

In my opinion, the twon has lost it for some time now. With the exception of the handful events Sean throws we have nothing here.
