| What a day...I paid $35 for a 1.5 hr cab ride which would normally cost $15 for 20 minutes at the same distance...and then I waited 50 minutes for a Lansdowne bus that never showed up..wow. Some women who walked with me was walking from QUEEN all the way to DAVENPORT...that's like more than an hour of walking! :eyes: |

it was def a disaster! at finch/sentinel I think they waited for 30-45 minutes for the driver who was supposed to changed the one already on the bus... buses going TO York wouldn't even stop at regular Sentinel stop because they were overflowing |

Toronto winter is bad but honestly the first time I would have expected the winter to be a lot worse than it actually is in Toronto. With Lake Ontariao right there in Toronto down, I thought the wind chills would be freezing.
We really freeze out because of the lake here in Rochester. Usually the wind chills are lot more annoying than the winter or the snow itself. They are just brutal. Toronto however is not as bad as I had imagine.
Omg except for that night - Together As One.
Stepping out of the Docks for a smoke was probably amongst the most all decision I have made.... |

Just got home from work. Hadnt really been outside all night. I went to go to my car and to my surprise, a 3/8 of an inch thick sheet of ice was all over the place, and my car!
I had to go back into the shop, and grab a broom handle, wrap it in rags, and literally BEAT my car with it just to break off the ice and open my door. Then I drove it into the shop where it thawed off for about 20 minutes so I could chisel the rest of it off.
The whole neighbourhood is crystalized. Remindes me of that Ice Storm back in the 90's in Quebec.
This is some ed up weather. From snowflakes the size of my head and drifts 2 feet deep when I left for work, to a ice land from hail and freezing rain when I get off. |
