i like the clear kick in the beginning, the bass is real "Takkra" style:p i like the effect on the vocal in the beginning. the breakdown is really cool, Tiesto does his breakdowns like that with the "broken up" bassline. sounds good, maybe you could fill it up with some more percussions? @ 5:00 i like the background synths/pads:)
+Akia's voice really suits the tune.

I see what you mean with 2:06 now, actually I did that consiously, thought that would fit and for me it doesn´t sound wrong. See if we will change it.
Thank you very much for your feedback guys, it´s really helpful! :gsmile: |

I actually think the track is bloody cool.
Mediocre production? I don't think so.
Vocals do sometimes sound a bit strange, but I think it works.
Well done. |

don't know the original.
but this track is pretty cool.
the kick is ok imo. sounds good the way it is.
some notices from my side:
* the vocals are beautiful sung (is this correct english ? :toothless )
but as mention before, they're sometimes off key or out of sync. what ever, I don't know the terms for that, but something's a bit strange about the vocals.
* the arrangement is a bit confusing. this synthline at around 1:30 anticipates a trancy, hypnotizing flow. but the actual flow gets different. lots of small breaks and changes. the arrangement isn't bad, by no means, but the beginning just triggers some different expectations imo.
alltogether pretty cool as said before.
remains on my harddisk :D |

The kick is heavy... I really am not sure what the other's are complaining about. THe kick works, but it's hard, IMO a tad muffled in some select frequencies.
2:06 sounds off-key. Then it sounds like it's in a trip-hop key. However, it improves from there. I like the ethno-ish percussive lines alongside the trance beat that build up.
I have a few doubts about the vocal... it's sounds appropriate, but it doesn't always follow the rythm or key. There are just a few places that it sounds a "little off". I really don't like the vocal, but if it was fixed rytmically and melodically I'd really like this tune. Just my opinion.
Cheers. |

I REALLY love the idea and the sound of it. I would just go over the vocals one more. You have some parts around 1:00 and 5:30 that sound absolutely wonderful. But at around 2:10-2:30 and 4:10 the vocals sound way too dry, and the recording quality doesnt sound quite as good. outside of that I really like this and think it is a project that you should continue with.
good luck and i look forward to hearing any updates!

Hey sup?
Well i am not a fan of the kick either ... has too much of a "cheesy" character to it, and reminds me of the end of the 90`s Scot Project Kicks, but that for the hat and percussion lines are cool! :P
I love the "washed out" vox effects.
Around 4.20 i think the vocals run out of sync or something, but it just doesnt sount too good there to me :(. But i liked the vocals in the middle though.
The hook lead has a nice melody i think. But i am not too much a fan of "saw´s" no more. How about a more "concisely" sound? Some Sine + Fm or i dont know what combo? lol
At the end the drumming changes a little, but it sounds like a new track is fading in ... ???
WELL OVERALL A GOOD TRACK, which is has an ok feeling to it, but there is still some stuff in it, that could be done better in my oppinion.
Hope you guys have a nice weekend! :P

Hi Akia! well the track sounds pretty good.
As someone said, it sounds too dry in some parts, a lil more reverb would do it.
But the track itself and the vocals are realy nice. Some parts are a bit strange (the vocal doesnt seem to be as usual with the track, but it doesnt feel to off imo). but there are realy great parts, in wich your vocal totaly fits.
Good work!
/Alex :) |
