just thinking back to the good old days. when i was 16 in ibiza with my best mate. just got into trance that year. went to cream in ibiza and judge jules played delerium silence. i was ruined and loving every second. I'll never forget it.
where were you when you first heard silence in a club ?? |

i heard some eurodance mix of it in a club a bout a month ago. it actually wasnt that bad... i mean you cant do wrong with those vocals
and i agree, tiesto's mix > fade's |

Well, the original on Karma, obviously.
I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I find it hilarious that, when it first came out, Silence was barely given a second glance. It wasn't even made a single for a couple years after the fact. |

i think fade's mix is overrated. not because it isn't in the OMGTIJS hands in the air style, but just because the bassline sounds silly and the 'climax' is piss weak despite the long & promising build. take the vocals away and it would be a forgettable & very average track without much depth to it
tiesto's may be alot more obvious & overblown but it's executed to perfection.. the first 6 minutes is soaked with atmosphere & the peak never fails to deliver. i've heard it twice in a club, but seeing as both times were a good 4-5 years after the release at classics nights it didn't feel so special |

It just isn't meant to be a dance tune, making it into one takes away everything that was good about the original. |
