Archuleta traded to the bears for a 6 round pick.
The Redskins have freed up money again to overpay somebody else:rolleyes: :wtf:
also Spikes goes to the Eagles. Another great playmaker who is likely to get hurt. The Eagles certainly ahve a type...:disbelief |

| If the Bears do this deal with the Redskins (Briggs + 31st pick for 6th pick), it will go down as one of the dumbest deals ever. Briggs is right in his prime, and would be recognized as one of the best linebackers in the league if he didn't play on the same team as Urlacher. Combine that with Bears' complete inability to use any high draft pick effectively (for every one Urlacher, they also have Cade McNown, Curtis Conway, Rashaan Salaam, David Terrell, etc.) and you have a recipe for disaster. |

my take is that it won't happen.
it costs a lot to sign a 6th pick so if the Bears are worried about money this deal doesn't get them anywhere really.
although if it DOES happen I will be foaming at the mouth.:disbelief |

| Well, they'd almost certainly trade down with the pick. There's nobody that high up the board that they'd really need, and they can't take that kind of a hit from the signing bonus atm. It's still a bad deal for them, though, IMO. If they traded down for, say, the 30th pick & the 62nd pick, that'd mean they'd traded him away for just a late 2nd-round pick, which is pretty weak, and I doubt that any team would trade away a 1st & 2nd for a 1st. |

thats a dumb question around here.... Vinatieri jerseys began to be big sellers I'd say as early as 98... after 2001, his jersey was the 2nd biggest seller behind Brady.... A lot of girls bought his jersey though, New England brauds have a thing for good looking athletes, so they buy their jersey.... not even joking.... |

NFL schedule is out:
http://www.nfl.com/schedules
My random rant on the schedule:
* Week 1 presents the matchup of the year - Lions @ Raiders :toothless
* Saints @ Colts opening game? Would have been much more fun if it was Pats @ Colts, so I can see the look on Bellichek's face when he sees Peyton get his ring :tongue2
* Speaking of Pats @ Colts, which happens Nov 4, why is the game not in prime time. It's the hottest NFL rivalry of this decade, it should at the very least be a prime time game.
* These late season NFL network games on Thursday and Saturdays starting at week 13 look like "NFL Network: You didn't deserve much Vol II" |
