| First of all... could someone please let me know who the hell that was opening for Chris Fortier @ Sonic last night. I would love 2 know so i can blacklist him from my dj book. What a clown! What kind of dj plays peak time tunes within the first hour that a club is open, when the floor is FAR from full. How the hell is the headliner supposed to take on the night and give the crowd what they have come for, when after only an hour they are tired from listening to an ignorant A.D.D. dj play tunes that were ment to be played at peak time? I am totally embarressed about the fact that 90% of the local dj's in toronto that seem to get booked, know absolutely 0 about properly opening the night for an A Class Dj such as Chris. Am I the only one who is aware of this? Or are there others who share this same frustration? |

There there, I feel you pain. But maybe it has something to do with me fighting a porcupine earlier today that left lots of needles on my mattress. Boy this is going to be a rough night. |

Dude for me, it totally depends on what event I go to.
I've been to many events where there has been some ing kickass local toronto dj's who know how to do it up properly and professionally. Although, usually seeing the local dj without no headliner, beats many international acts i've seen.
But , I went to the spin gallery for a party to see kenny glasgow, and the first lot of dj's sucked. I was so impressed with the venue, I really like it, but the dj's ing RUINED the night for me.
Especially since it was a weeknight, there's no ing way I was staying out past a certain time. So by the time, Kenny Glasgow came on - I was pretty frustrated and tired.
You wanna ing hear something classic? THE PROMOTER DECIDES TO PLAY BACK TO BACK WITH THE HEADLINER. can you ing imagine? so lame.
If you're going to play back to back with the headliner at least give the headliner 45 minutes of spinning to itself and THEN you can play back to back.
It was so horrible. Sorry to hear, you had a frustrating night aswell. |

Dude let the praises rain down, you couldn't have summed up my feelings any better.
I spend minimum 2 hours and 26 minutes a day thinking, how can we live in this city where no dj's know how to open up properly for big name dj's. It is the ultimate act of unconsiderateness. Not opening properly? You may as well say, "hello mr dj, i am better than you and to show you how much better than you i am i will not open for you properly, I will thumb my nose at you, I will fart in your general direction"
Another day of this nonsense and I may quit partying all together. |
