Buying a modded xbox360???

| Does anyone have a modded xbox360??? i was looking on craigslist and there are a bunch of pretty good deals.... ie. like premium system for like $450 including the mod then like $5 for each game you want.... is this reliable??? does anyone have n e experience with this??? need some advice! thanks! |

| a lot of the xbox mods supposedly dont mess up the hardware, they just gotta download some firmware... whatever that means.... and supposedly if it breaks they can just remove the mod... so that xbox will fix it.... although i dont know if there is any truth to this |

For the original Xbox yes, but not for the 360.
As of right now, i believe you need a chip to mod a 360. |

| i heard some chips wont allow you to play online either. |

a friend of mine has successfully modded 3 of them. evrything is still the same. you can play online, you can play burned games, and play regular games. it is also undetected when you play online.
it is almost too good to be true. |

Always the stealing line. Seriously, is that all you have to say when the discussion is about MOD Chips, CDRs and MP3s?
Tell me, why would I not be allowed to do what the I want with the object I bought. Why should the manufacturer prevent me from playing imported games lets say, or install any other application that I want on MY machine? |
