got me quite interested also, cant find anything bout it in any papers that i could see!
wonder why its gone all quiet?!
Maybe the lack of security or something looks bad on the event and such
imagine your sons/daughters going off to a festival and then getting the news that their dead! thats full on! |
Just like most stabbings, I find it hard to believe that they were just randoms who got stabbed for no reason by some other randoms. Call me cynical, but I'm sure there was a reason why.
Still it's not very good news that they had so little security there. That's pretty ing bad organising in Melbourne. |

Yeah you would have thought so really...unless they are complete lunatics!! Apparently one of the guys was stabbed 7 times, thats pretty harsh!!
Maybe it also went quiet due to them not catching the people who did it!!
It was by the toilets cus the security guard told me it had happened about 5 minutes before i had got there!! Mental!!! |

I thought it was a really good day in the end. Crowd was a bit iffy, as was the music in places, but if you were at the right stages at the right times I can't see how you wouldn't have enjoyed it. Spent most of the time at the Mischief stage and ing loved it for the most part.
- The Egg: Never heard of them before apart from that track they did with Dave Guetta, but they were pretty good actually. Good fun and nice to see an electronic act with live instruments too.
- Rex the Dog: Wicked as always.
- Infusion: Can't really go wrong with them, but this set didn't really inspire me too much. This is where my memory started to get a bit fuzzy for a bit, though.
- Carl Cox: Couldn't be bothered fighting the crowds for a spot on the dancefloor, but watched him while lying down on the grass on the hill with a few other munted members of my crew. Sound wasn't great from where we were, but it was good enough to know that we were missing a wicked set. Also watching that many people go off to tech was - like someone said earlier - pretty amazing to see, especially from our perspective. Must have been 10,000 in there easily.
- Oliver Huntemann: Set of the night. Tough, rolling, minimal stuff, quite like Beyer or Schumacher at their best in places. Haven't heard much from him before, so glad I decided to check him out.
- Nick Warren: Was only there for half an hour or so, but he seemed in pretty good form. Would have stayed and enjoyed it if it weren't for the clash with Wink.
- Josh Wink: ing wicked. Lots of minimal and acidy techy stuff and Higher State of Consciousness was the perfect track to finish off the day.
Impressed at how well my memory held up in the end actually, because it was a looooong day. Disappointed I couldn't catch up with more TAs but the coverage was ed and only about one out of every ten messages I sent got through. Oh well, next time. |

I'll help you out then:
Martin Luther King - I have a dream speech
Gui Boratto - Beautiful Life
can't remember the next few but then
Moldan & Ismae - Fivefivezero
16 Bit Lolitas - Non verbal Language
Paolo Mojo - 1983 (eric prydz remix)
Shiloh - cafe del mariachi
Shiloh - cafe del mariachi (nick warren mix)
The Killers - Mr. Brightside (TWD)
can't remember the next bit but WOW - Killa was the second last track and I'm pretty sure Pole Folder - b side was in there too.
Up until Mr. Brightside was awesome, then killa got things going again. Really loved the set, especially how he was able to bring the tempo down after Sander but keep people there.
Gave Famous a ring but they've not heard anything, my bet is he isn't playing this Saturday. |

the martin luther speech over that tune, just like one of his promo mixes from earlier this year. I <3 Mr. Warren
16 Bit Lolita's - Neptune
into
16 Bit Lolita's - Non Verbal Language
he can probably do that mix in his sleep (or off his head) and it would sound perfect every time.
