k..... dunno if you managed to solve your problems with your ipod but i have a few suggestions that might help

1. you need to convert your videos into a divx format 1st n then that file needs to be a .mp4 file.i've tried it n my videos turn out fine. i use the jodix free ipod video converter. its pretty decent.

2. the file name must be going into what the original artist is because if you ripped the cd or something to that effect the id3 tag is what your ipod reads when it is showing your song name. so your file name might be abc but if in the id3 tag the information stored is xyz then thats whats going to show up.

Yeah, you should edit the tags of your mp3s before transfering them to iPod. If you want to play some album, look for it via albums menu, not artists menu. Also, track numbers should be something like 101, 102, 103, ..., 201, 202, 203... in case of a double CD in one folder.
