[Tech/Min-Electro House?] ASfSE - Trippin'

ok, hate putting my music into genres, so i dont know what you'd consider this.
here's a new slap i put togethor...been workin on it for a little bit over a week...this is the basic layout but i'm not sure where to take it.
allllllllllllll comments, negative, mean, nice, postive, are welcome.

I like the gated pad from the get-go, but I'm not entirely sure that the gated should be there immediately. Maybe you could sweep the effect into play from the get-go. This is partially because I was wondering if quicktime was doing its usual "beginning glitch" on me when the song started up.
Otherwise, it's very robotic, hipnotic and catchy. I like the bell morphs on one of those synth. When the main bassline drops into play I'm really feeling the need to bob my head. This is some dancy crud.
It's like house... kraftwerk, and something else. It's robo trance. I don't usually listen to stuff like this, but I know it exists.
The kick is a well compressed, raw 909 form, and the synths and textures all sound like analog devices run through a sequencer. Its clean, its catchy and its rythmically driving. I feel like a visual artist admiring a futurism drawing at the local, dusty museum.
The ontro was strangely greeted by silence... okay... well, it's a nice way to be DJ friendly. |

Very rythmic with a nice flow, I would dance to this! :) But to variate it, you colud add a synth with a different melody, so it becomes a bit trancy(...but I guess people who like this kind of music would hate that...). However, well done! :cool:

nice...sounds a bit like you were trippin' when you've done it, right? :D
nice sounds...and I like the gating...the kick might be a little strange for my taste but isn't bad either...
nice one...a bit more variation might work too ... overall good job :) |

Concept is great, the gated pad could vary a little more thoughout the song and for the ost part all these sounds are pretty flat. They lack that vibrancy.
overall concept is ace, execution needs work. percussion needs thickening for sure. Synths and sounds lack that warmth.
