Yes and no. Mostly yes.

So is blaming your problems on the public. The public drove her to be nuts , the paparazzi drover her to become a little wacky, the stalkers and the fans made her party like a rock star and take drugs and make her lose it, my ass. That is BS as well.

But keep in mind, these celebrities are living in the public eye. I mean they're not really "stalking" them.

Now it's THIS idea that makes this so wrong.

Why does someones profession suddenly become a good enough reason for people to say they are living in the public eye? If they are, so is everyone else.

Just because you're on TV or in a movie DOES NOT mean that you are suddenly signing a hypothetical contract to the world saying that your life is everyones business.

And yes, it IS stalking them. Someone following you everywhere (uninvited,) and taking photos of all your movements is STALKING!

stalk 2 (stôk) Pronunciation Key
v. stalked, stalk·ing, stalks

v. intr.

1. To pursue by tracking stealthily.
2. To follow or observe (a person) persistently, especially out of obsession or derangement.
3. To go through (an area) in pursuit of prey or quarry.

I never said that all of her life problems are the fault of the media.

I do however, think the media is intensifying the issues.

This sums up what I've been saying in most of these threads. I think it'd be fun to run a magazine, a website and a reality TV show and just follow some average joes around all of the time. Take some people who are HUGE into celebrity gossip and give them a taste of what it's like.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it means. They're on TV, in movies, on the radio whatever...all the time. It's called promotion. When your job is to entertain the public....they're living in the public eye.

See, when you become a celebrity ( regardless of you level of stardom ) people are going to be watching you. When you have people watching you they feel as if they get to know you and want to be A) like you or B) with you/near you( Some people with a higher level of appreciation which can turn into obsession (hate and/or love) ). Anyone will do what they can to be close to a celebrity that they admire. Is it stalking? Yes! Is it wrong, eeyaah! I just don't see how any of what is happening can be blamed on a photographer, other than the fact that they are capturing what she is doing to herself and showing the world that our favorite Celebs aren't as perfect as much as we like to think they are...which is exposing the truth is it not?

And to say that the paparazzi is stalking her is total crap! They're making a living, I'm sure they couldn't care less about her life. But they know that there are people out there that eat this stuff up, they see a demand and they supply. It's economics :p

If Britney or Janet or Mariah or Anna Nicole CHOOSE to constantly pollute my television screen or ears, yes, they want their lives to be my business. You aren't an actress, then make fragrances, then model, then produce your own clothing line, then decide to dabble in music production, then decide to save the whales, then decide to create your own furniture, then open up your own restaurant, then... you get my drift? If they are being shoved down my throat everywhere i look or go, why is it suddenly unrighteous for me to judge? Besides, we're all integral parts of the social food chain. The more of these bitches that snap postal, the more opportunities for you and me to finally be in the limelite! :toocool:

Look at the number of stars who DO remain lowkey and civil as someone already mentioned. Britney relishes in this. Who are you kidding?

I saw a pic of Brit from the umbrella incident. Her left eye IS HIGHER than her right eye! S. Doherty's match?

Shannon's right eye can be seen HERE
