| Until yesterday, It'd never really occurred to me not to go out alone. Let me be a little more specific...I go out to one club with friends(Guvernment), but by the end of the night they're done...light weights...so I go to another club(Comfort Zone) han solo, getting a ride with people heading there. For me, in a nutshell, being alone at a club, specifically cozo, takes away as much as it adds. I'll go into more detail later, but I first want to see what others have to say... |

Do I got out alone? If so how often?
yes, and I usually always go out alone.
If yes, why?
1.
A. Lack of altenatives
B. More convenient
C. I don't need friends to define what when and where are the things I should be doing |

| I went alone last weekend to see Hybrid. Must say I really enjoyed it and had a lot more time to focus on the music :) |

I go out alone a lot. In fact most of the time I prefer it. There's always people I know that I can meet up with at the clubs. The reason I like going alone though, is because I'm a drifter. I like to do what I want, when I want...and not have a tag along, or have to tag along with someone else, etc.
Most of the time I'm on the dancefloor all night, and I don't need a partner for that really.
I HATE going out in groups. My best nights are when it's just me and my best friend, cause we both just do our own thing. |

Most of the time I go out, I go out alone. The only people I know who are interested in EDM attend parties maybe once or twice a year, and sometimes (like two Fridays from now) we decide to skip going to a party and instead hang out, get drunk and spin our own music.
I go out for the music, in the first place. I'm the guy who will be up front standing there and watching the DJ the entire night. That, to me, is very entertaining and in some cases will teach me new tricks/techniques/whathaveyou. That's not to say I don't dance, of course I dance. But if I'm not really feeling the set I'm not going to force myself to.
Even though I go alone, I end up not being alone. Sometimes I might meet and talk to new people, but more often than not I run into people I see every time I go out and I'll hang out and talk with them for a bit.
There are pluses and minuses to going alone and going with friends, none of which I think overshadows the other. |

I almost always go out with people/meet people. My friends all float around and I float around as well. If I'm at Stereo unless I have a "partner in crime" usually I'm just floating around, dancing whatever. If my friends want to leave before me or I before them it's all good. We just chill it out. That's not to say I've never been out along, but I almost always end up seeing people I know or meeting new people
I much prefer to be with a couple of people, big groups are only good if there is freedom in the group and people are doing what they want to. |

sometimes i'm forced to go out alone (to clubs) because
a) most of my friends don't like edm and the two or three that do, aren't nearby. i do meet up with one of my friends at avalon because he loves a lot of the edm i like.
b) since my boyfriend is a lawyer, he can't ruin his rep by showing up to random frat parties and random house parties over here. |
