"Faith"... That is used so horribly. One can have faith in science. If the chart means "Religion", then I guess this chart fails to recognize great philosophers using their "Faith" as a means to promote many great ideas throughout the many years of our existence.

yeah faith is a pretty broad term.
and the thing with science is that its pretty adamant about knocking anything that can't be proven, instead of keeping an open mind. there's a lot of accounts of telepathy, psychics etc, and yet a lot of scientists completely knock the idea of it because they can't prove it with a ruler, or whatever else those damn scientists use.
people need proof proof proof. can you prove that you exist? no you cant. you still believe it do'nt you? that's faith. science doesn't give all the answers, nor can it. |

We must advance our understanding of human biology and improve technology if we are to measure and quantify the psychic effects. The first step towards a scientific analysis is an ability to measure what you want to explain. Secondly, there must be strong experimental data to support these claims. People who claim to possess these powers must demonstrate repeatably that they can use them. In my opinion science will eventually be able to explain just about everything in this universe. |
