No , right?! Ah well, next time. I'm so jealous that you got to MEET Holden. I've heard he's a really nice guy. He seemed so shy when that drunk chick went up on stage, haha.

He was really nice! Really really weeded up, but really nice! He always smiled and laughed whenever we talked to him. I hope he got some Zs after the show though. He had flown from London that morning, then played his heart out, only to fly to Chicago the day after (and Vancouver the day after! :eyes: )

sounded like the show was cool, those paintings look like a 5 year old could make them though :s

the guy in the pic reminds me of oscar g hehe

Tim never got to finish the one on the left. These guys incorporate a lot of other artist templates in their work. They tend to be organic in these environments cause they are surrounded by 150 people, have about 2 feet of space and are being blasted away by the speakers.

All that and they don't pre-plan anything. It's one thing for an artist to think of a painting and go to their studio and crank it out, it is another to be at said place with no direction what so ever about what the final product should look like and to time it so that it is complete when the show ends.

The drips, skulls, bunnys, helicopters and arrows are all themes in what these guys have been producing lately. The greens keepers painting had a skull template from another artist group that is vastly different than what you see in the Holden painting.

However, I would equate the vibe of the night for those who MADE IT OUT to a bunch of 5 year olds in a candy shop.

There will only ever be 6 paintings from the Holden show in Atlanta and I got one of them. They sold the rest.
