Bank Accounts For Teens?

Anyone know of any banks in the US that allow teens (15 yo) to open up a bank account? Since i got my first job i need a bank account were i can keep my money, and so my parents won't go anywere near it either.
Anyone? |

i used to work at wells fargo. unfortunately in the USA you can NOT acquire a bank account on your own under the age of 18. you MUST have someone 18yrs or older cosign on the account. |

Interesting. I started working when I was 17 and decided that that would be a good time to open my own bank account. I was able to do so at my local bank, Washington Mutual. |

I had a checking account under my own name when I was 17, they didn't even ask for ID really. if they did, they didn't complain about my age and I simply wrote 'student' for occupation. YMMV
ps - it was Florida Savings Bank and I don't even know if they're still in business anymore |
