Yea. New mix. And a few weeks before WMC. Mostly older stuff with a couple of newer tracks.

Angelus Ultimatus

1. Angelic Touchdown - Marinero (NU NRG remix)
2. NU NRG - Last Experience (Giuseppe Ottaviani remix)
3. Second Sun - Playground (NU NRG remix)
4. Dutch Force - Deadline
5. Galen Behr vs Hydroid - Carabella (Galen Behr vs. Orjan Nilsen mix)

As always feedback is appreciated.

Haters, bi-polar freaks and non-trance lovers need not apply.

I have a lot of problems mixing out of Marinero (1st track.) Still working on some beatmatching, that's my #1 problem, but practice makes perfect, right? Thanks for checking it out, dude.

I used to be a trance nut, and spun trance constantly......nowadays im a house head, but I always like checking out trance mixes. I'll give it a listen and a review! DLing now.

Goin with NCHS09 on this one. Love the tunes, just the beatmatching is off, but youre right, practice makes perfect. You seem to put out a LOT of mixes, so keep up the practice and i'm sure you'll be making perfect smooth transitions in no time! Look forward to your next mix. By the way, what setup are you using?

and if you want to get some mixing ideas in your head maybe, you could check out my feb 07 demo. Some of it is house, but I still think it would be somethin worth giving a listen too perhaps? I have a trance mix i did a while ago, just for the purpose of putting it on my ipod so I had a mix of my favorite tracks...

TL:

1. Terry Ferminal - Nymph (original mix)
2. Giuseppe Ottaviani And Marc Van Linden - Until Monday (Mac and Mac Remix)
3. Scott Mac - Damager 02 (Mac Zimms Remix)
4. Aalto - 5 (Original mix)
5. Club Scene Investigators - Direct Dizko (Sander van Doorn Mix)
6. Marco V - Any Better, Or? (Original mix)
7. Sean Tyas - Lift (Sean Tyas Remork)
8. Activa - Lift (Mac Zimms Remix)
9. Divini, Warning - 4LB (Original mix)
10. Randy Katana - Plastic Fantastic (Original mix)

Like I said, this really isn't a demo or anything...considering the track list has like...3 reworks by Mac  its more just a mix of songs I dig. If you want to take a listen to it, message me or somethin'.

anyways, keep it up!

Thanks for checking it out. I use Pioneer DJS, a program. Much better than PCDJ. My mixing has gotten better since I started using it.

I used to practice a lot more but I have less time during the week.

I feel ya. I haven't been able to really practice in about a month because one of my cdj1000's is ed up :( And I don't have the funds to get a replacement or get it repaired. :(

But yeah, I haven't heard much about those programs, but the one piece of advice I can give you is that if the programs have beatcounters...IGNORE THEM. I started to learn how to mix on vinyl, then switched to cdj1000's, where I started using the beat counter all the time. I started to notice that it just doesn't work on some tracks and would cause wrecks. Soooo, for the past month or two, on occasion ill put tape over my counters and mix by ear, or ignore them all together. Now I really don't have much of a problem with beatmatching, i mean, sometimes I get thrown off, but....with some patience and being calm...its not TOO hard to fix a tempo adjust.

Eyekon
=) hey DA

my best advice to you after listening to the mixes is to keep at it til you get it perfect. it takes alot of time and patience to create a mix from one track to another..its all about timing the transitions and eq-ing perfectly to where its hardly noticeable that the track is being faded out until you realize you are already well into the track mixing in.

if i were you, i would call up Eddie and ask him his advice on mixing. he has WAY more experience than anyone else I know with beatmatching, and can do both vinyl and cd, although he chooses to play strictly with vinyl.

also, i don't know if you strictly download off programs..but try venturing out someplace like beatport or audiojelly for some cool new tracks that nobody uses :) altho it may take a bit, there are gems hidden away EVERYWHERE that could actually be the song you are trying to ID on that SICK set you heard someone play. songs usually cost what..2 dollars? with the minimixes you do.. 10 bux will get you a really sick one with all new tracks :) id invest in that if i were you.

and the programs that have beatcounters are a big no no to anyone looking to really learn how to excercize their potential in djing. do try..however, to find a program or at least something that can distinguish the melody key for each track. i say this because transitions are MUCH smoother for tracks that have the same key. practice on a few and let me know what you think :)

in fact, ill even help you out. for example...

take the music key A#m...

a few tracks that have this key are:

Blank and Jones- Sound of Machines (TechnoPunk Mix)
Marninx Pres. Ecco- Intuition (Martin Roth Mix)
Kai Del NOi- Beyound Doubt
Giuseppe Ottaviani- Through Your Eyes (Original AND THomas Bronzwaer Mixes)
Dave202- Generate the Wave
Activa- Airflow (Mac Zimms Mix)
Re:Locate ft. Thomas Bronzwaer- Jetstream
Icone- Invisible (Six Senses Mix)

and so on...

try mixing any two of those together..and if you get the right sequence right..it will sound much smoother.

=) let me know what you think.
