"Wall of Sound", "Empty State", and "Golddigger" for Armin, now "In The Dark" for Tiesto. |

Where did he say Armin's career sucks? Going by those track titles, he's calling Armin a Goldigger. |

| I didnt like it at first, but now listening to it a couple times, I like it. I think everyones bashing it because its different from what tiesto has been making. I could be wrong. It took some time to grow on me but i like it now. The sh*tty quality doesnt help. Just have to wait for the release. And ten secs to sunrise! :eyes: |

I'm not bashing it because it's Tiësto, my opinion is that it's a horrible song, horrible production and it's horribly mastered...
that's about all I don't like about it...everything else is just great. |

tiesto is going for radio plays and money with this kinda stuff.
it's a shame. he's ruining all the respect he gained for what he did until 2003.
can you belive he used to produce tracks like "suburban train"? |

| Cheesy vocals mixed very loud, cheesy poppy production, cheesy melodies, horrible tune. And how does it have anything to do with rock or punk? Or trance? Usually when i hear something like this it means there is a radio i'm about to turn off. |

I'm not so sure. If you analyse all of the mentioned tracks objectively, you'll notice K&A/A&B productions are much more complex and sophisticated. A lot of Tiësto tracks (especially the commercial ones) seem to lack substance, which is the case again here. If you remove the vocals, there's hardly anything left in the track, whereas Good For Me or any other A&B production can function perfectly without them.
I agree with the latter part of your first post though, I'd take a Tiësto album over a Pvd or AvB album any day. |
yea i agree. "good for me" especially, i think thats a prime example of wat a good trance track with vocals these days can still be executed brilliantly. but this track is just vocals the whole ing time with a very simple melody in the background, there is no build ups, no breaks, no ing nothing just the same monotonous tune the whole time and it gets tired quickly. |
