I thought this was a very touching video of a fathers love for his child.

what a touching video...anyone who calls disabled people "retards" and thinks they cant feel or experience the same things we can, just look at how happy he is crossing the finish line and tell me he doesn't know whats going on.....*tear*

I couldn't agree with you more. My uncle is mentally challenged and to be honest, sometimes I think that he is more intelligent than anyone I have ever met. He recently broke both of his legs, and because of that, will never walk again (disabled people not only age at a higher rate, but their bodies have an extremely slow healing mechanism). Instead of dwelling on his problems, he ignores it and spends his life trying to make all the people around him happy.

Aaahhh but back on topic....this was a very touching video.

It's a beautiful video. It actually teared me up a little. I have a story. A while back When I was in public school being part of the in crowd we use to have certain people who we picked on. you know young and stupid is how some of us were. Well there was one kid we always seemed to pick on. ( I did like him) but I guess i was to full of being with everyone else that I never realized how much it was getting to him. When he got fed up with it he hung himself. He survived but now is mentally challenged. He's in a wheel chair and can't talk. Every time I see him I get knots in my stomach. I felt that I had a part in why he hung himself. It was the last time I ever physically picked on someone. Hard lesson to be learned.
