For home use only, the 800 is great - however, if you're playing at home and playing out, go for the 1000. You're not going to find an 800 in a proper club setting and the feel of the 1000 is quite different from the 800 I find.

I found this too. I don't like the 800 at all after using a 1000 for a while. No comparison IMO.

Thank you for all the responses and comments. :D

Yes...I spin...been spinning for about 2 years now and finally decided to spring for a nicer set of CDJ's in hopes to be making it big this year.

:haha: :stongue: :tongue3

It's actually for a Representative of ours at work. He's from Cyprus and recently purchased a club there. The sound technician in Cyprus has requested this specific CDJ.

The new CDJ 800s have the same mechanics as the CDJ 1000s now. The old CDJ 800s sucked by comparison, IMO. But buying new? Get the new CDJ 800s and save some dough.

I'd highly recommend moog, best service, best prices, best support.

Depends on what you want to do...

I think you can find Pioneer mixers used for a great price (like the DJM 600 for example). However, sonically, the Allan & Heaths (ie Xone line) sound quite a bit better...this is important because when you crank up the volume, the Pioneers will clip out and distort a lot sooner than the A&Hs. A&H knobs are smaller and they are a bit trickier to use, IMO, but Pioneers are easier on the budget.
