Initially, I was planning to get turntables AND cdjs, but for the past few months I haven't had much success finding most of the records I want, even online. A lot of the locals have suggested that I don't even bother with turntables, because of this (lack of vinyl nowadays..) Besides, I'll save money this way :)

I guess better question would have been what are you looking for in a mixer? Sound quality? Durability? Effects? Easy interface? Split cue? How many channels? Price range?

ok back to the thread...
2 CDJ-1000 MK3s as stated already is your best bet, can't go wrong with them! and xone92 heard good things about that mixer
but honestly best bet is to just walk in there talk to the ppl there first hand - tell then what your goal is, what your price range is and they will figure out the rest :thepirate |

i'd just buy under the industry standard. grab a used Pioneer DMJ-600 for like 600 - 800 bucks. all the major clubs usually use these, or the 800 series now. |

Yep.
I've come to rely on that thingy so much b/c it allows me time to prep when to start transition to tunes that I don't know. Plus I can pick out places when I can do that 3 min transitions fun :) |
