Any one else getting tired of Tiff Lacey?

Not to sound mean...

Tiff has a good voice, and she's been featured on some class productions to be sure. But the sheer VOLUME of productions she's been featured on lately seems a bit much. Seems like every other tune features her, and at this point, its like "heard it before". There ARE a lot of other very talented vocalists out there.

I'm getting tired of most of the overused vocalists that keep getting recycled. That's why it's nice to hear new ones such and Jaren in Cerf and Mitiskas various vocal productions. Come on producers out there, find new talent!!!

It seems like trance music goes through vocalists who are like "fads". First it was Jan Johnston, around the late 90s and early 00s. Then around 2002 through 2004, it was Justine Suissa being the "it" girl of trance vocalists. Then Jes Brieden took over, well she was already pretty popular after "As The Rush Comes" and everyone wanted to use her voice. Then Carrie Skipper, around 2004 and 2005. Now it's Tiff Lacey. You don't hear these other ladies as much. So I bet by the end of this year, Tiff Lacey wont be as popular. Like I said, it's a fad that lasts two or three years and then you don't hear them as much. Kind of goes along with the popularity of the songs.

Jes didn't sing Beautiful Things.
Subtle
I think Jes Brieden is the best one.

Tiff Lacey did great on Oakenfold`s Hypnotised though.

None of those other vocalists ever really hit "overload" status though. I mean each of them really has only a handful of releases. Even Jan Johnston, who's been around since the early days can't match the over-output of Lacey, who, in a couple of years time, has been featured on like, 30+ tracks!!!

I miss Justine's warm voice. And I'm glad to hear Chakra's Kate Cameron back on Sound Fiction's "Alive".

Oh I wasn't aware of her being in 30 tracks. I guess I really haven't been followed trance much lately. Jan Johnston did at least 30 tracks i'de say in the past 10 years, since her debut on BT's album "ESCM" and then Freefall's "Skydive". So if Tiff Lacey has done 30 tracks in the past few years..well I wasn't aware of that. That seems like a lot. And I agree, Justine's voice is excellent. She kind of reminds me of Sarah McLachlan, though maybe not quite at the same level (Sarah McLachlan can reach notes/pitches that so far..I haven't heard Justine's voice be able to do, probably because she's mostly done dance music).

agreed

I'm getting tired of most of all those "popular" vocalists. They tend to take over the production and usually that results in an overall tune since the production work suddenly takes a back seat to the vocals. Then, in most cases, the lyrics are archetypal pap, and the vocals sound forced and sappy.

Meh.

i like her voice, especially in Headstrong - Truth (David West Mix)
Sinnica Hax
