Beginner Dj Equipment

Before someone complains, I have used the search button, and could not find threads specifically dealing with this particular equipment.

I'm in the market for buying some Dj equipment for the first time. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money, and would prefer not to go over 600 euros. I want 2 cdj's and a mixer which is good for starters and won't immediately break. I've been browsing around and have found some items:

CDJ's:
Numark Axis 4
Numark Axis 9
Gemini iCDJ

Mixers:
Numark 1002 MKII
Numark DXM 06

Basically what I'd like to know is if they're other Cdj's/mixers in the price range of these which are more valuable than these listed,. Also I'd life to know if you think I should get nicer, more expensive cdj's and a worse, cheaper mixer, or vice versa. Thanks.

Note: I know that they're great, but I simply cannot afford Pio CDj 200's as they retail for 400 each.

Get some software controller like the Hercules DJ Console or look into Traktor and some type of MIDI control interface, until you can afford something that will last. Those CD players aren't going to last you, you'll sell them in a few years. Your best bet is to see if you even enjoy it and if you can get the basics of mixing down, then get those. Better yet, get some inexpensive TTs like Stanton's ST-80s, which go for about $250 each, about the same price or less than those CD players you have listed. So two of those would be $500 (dunno exactly how much in your country) and the mixer would be I am guessing another $250 so $750, and then look into Serato or M-Audio's Torque and you're talking rough $1,000. Other-wise, you can save another $200 or so and get two CDJ 200s and a DJM 400, the perfect set up IMO.

Yikes... Agiprodj.com has CDJ-200's on clearance for $309 USD (235 euros). 400 euros is insane!

I would really look around if you can... it's really worth stepping up one level to better decks. Even if you have to skimp on the mixer for now.

I've messed around on this console and you will get anxious for something better within a few weeks (at least I did).

I know this sounds obvious, but have you tried looking on eBay? I'm in a similiar situation, but I don't have enough money to get started yet. eBay looks like your best shot for your price range.

I never played with it, but I would think for someone who doesn't know how to mix, it would be helpful. More interesting to use with DJ Software than just a mouse, esp if you can't afford CDJs yet.

agiprodj can only ship to usa?!

You could buy m-audio torq, and get a midi controller (like an xsession pro?)

and when you get cd decks, you'd still be able to use it.
