Need cell phone advice.

Hey everyone, I'ma postin' this 'cause I am sick and tired of Cingular/AT&T/whateverthe it's called. I've had the same number for over 2 years, and my original AT&T wireless phone broke several months ago, which forced me to buy a new phone (which is an absolute piece of ) and is Cingular (which is a piece of provider.) so I'm asking you all, who would you recommend? Looking for a good, cheap plan (like $50/month or so) with lots of text messages included...unlimited would be a major plus, and cool and efficient phones as well. Thx in advance.

*edit* I can't use Metro PCS, because I need nationwide coverage.

Metro PCS has a nation wide plan, or long distance it think but ya dont get nextel unless you wanna spend thousands of dollars :whip: ******s! but ya when my contract is up im getting verizon my bro has it and is great plus i can get hooked up with really nice phones like the chocolate...

Dont go to nextel/spirit, horrible service, horrible customer service, all around bad, Metro I heard from alot they suck, verizon is not bad, but as far as cingualar goes, I have a good plan for $50 a month, so with taxes and all of that jazz, it comes out to $75 a month, 1200 daytime minutes 1500 text messages, and whatever daytime minutes u dont use it gets rolled over to the next month, as for any type of cell phone, they are all pieces of , no matter who u have, DONT GET A RAZOR JUNK, I heard blackberries are the nicest

I looked at Metro and they have California coverage in some places but not L.A....and L.A. would be a place I would need it. I've also heard Metro is hell.

Yeah, I've heard lots of bad about Razors. I know one person who's Razor ed up on them twice and twice they had to get a new phone, covered by the provider, of course. And I agree with ya on Blackberries. Right now the option I'm looking at is t-mobile. Seems they have unlimited text plans and that's a major plus for me.

Quad-band international phone!!!! That's sooooo what I need! Just wondering how the rebate works...like, how much I'd actually be paying for the phone it self....

t mobile = .30 cents a min to canada.

Metro PCS!!! all you pay is $56 and thats tax included. You dont worry about anything. Get metro I am telling you. About the service thing. I never had any problems with it.

edit: And you can keep the number I had T Mobile before and when i switched to metro and i kept the number

Deutche Telekom ( T-MOBILE ) its the way to go.

I know a bunch of people who have the cheapest myfaves plan, and barely spend 100 mins. Ive had all services.. From Sprint, Bellsouth that was later known as Cingular.. you name it. They are all crap. The only service I would consider besides Tmobile is Verizon, but they are just way expensive.

Blackberry Pearl looks nice but it ain't as good.

I'd go for the Dash if anything.

but yeah.. Go T-mobile, but watch out with those t-mobile Mall stores.. they are independently owned by other peeps.. they tend to rip you off, so try to deal directly with T-mobile, in fact, go to AMAZON, you can get the phone for free and some money to keep ;)
