I have Cingular and I pay $140/month for 4 phone lines. I found this on a deal website.

(repost)
Historically, existing SprintPCS customers could get excellent deals by renegotiating their contract, especially when speaking to the Sprint Retention Department. Those deals were meant for existing SprintPCS customers only, but now there's a way to get a great deal for new Sprint customers. To get a great deal for new customers:
1. Click here.
2. Under "Sprint PCS offer", enter email address [email protected], enter your zipcode, and press signup.
3. The next page appears and shows a Motorola KRZR phone and a 500 minute plan for $30/month. On the very left side of the screen where it says "More Sprint PCS Options", press "More Phones" to see a list of phones available using this employee discount. After you select a phone, press "Individual Plans" on the left side to see a list of plans available with this discount.
New SprintPCS customers qualify for up to a $100 mail-in rebate if you purchase one of the phones on their list. According to the terms on that page, "Rebate total may not exceed the total purchase price of the phone," so the following rebate amounts should apply on the phones:
* Samsung A900M for $30, and the rebate should give the $30 back.
* Palm Treo 700WX for $250, and $100 rebate is available.
* Motorola KRZR for $198, and $50 rebate is available.
* Blackberry 8703e for $150, and a $100 rebate is available.
This deal includes unlimited night & weekend minutes, nights begin at 7pm, Vision and Power Vision for free, unlimited SprintPCS-to-SprintPCS calling, free long distance, and numeric paging. Text messaging costs $0.15 each, but excessive text messegers can later get unlimited text for $5 or $10 per month. Available plans are:
* 500 Anytime minutes for $30/mo
* 1250 Anytime minutes for $50/mo
* 2500 Anytime minutes for $100/mo
These are great deals, especially since they include Power Vision which usually costs $15/mo extra.
Sprint may not have the best quality wireless reception in the nation, but they do have some of the best prices and best customer service we have ever dealt with.
This deal is for new SprintPCS customers. For existing SprintPCS customers who want a better deal on their plan, check out deals for existing Sprint Wireless customers.

Hey everyone, I'ma postin' this 'cause I am sick and tired of Cingular/AT&T/whateverthe it's called. I've had the same number for over 2 years, and my original AT&T wireless phone broke several months ago, which forced me to buy a new phone (which is an absolute piece of ) and is Cingular (which is a piece of provider.) so I'm asking you all, who would you recommend? Looking for a good, cheap plan (like $50/month or so) with lots of text messages included...unlimited would be a major plus, and cool and efficient phones as well. Thx in advance.
*edit* I can't use Metro PCS, because I need nationwide coverage.

| i have T-mobile and i havent' had any sort of issues with it for the 3 years i've had it i think. Right now i'm on a family plan with a mate so i'm paying 70 a month for a 1000 minutes myself. I don't think i hear too many people complain about t-mobile ever. As far as phones go, yea dont' get the razor anymore, it sucks. I have the Blackberry Pearl now and let me just say, it's ing awesome. It's sort of like a mini computer. Plus i have a 512mb SD card and i'm straight jamming to music and so on. If you can get it, get it. The little ball on it also seems to hold its own. The phone came with a game like pong and i've played it like crazy and the ball is still perfect. Has too many features for me to point out here, but you get the gist of it.:) |

Thank you all for your input and advice. I have decided to go with t-mobile. I borrowed my mom's credit card and just ordered the BlackBerry 7290 with the $39.99 "Get more" plan, with 600 anytime minutes unlimited nights/weekends, WorldClass International Service (FREE), UNLIMITED text messages for $14.99 and rush shipping @ $12.99. I should get the phone by Friday. The only downside: I have to change my number, but whatever.

| Out of curiosity. Why did you go with the 7290 instead of the 8100 (pearl). |

Don't like the pearl's key set-up. |
