I listened to this again one more time and I've come to the conclusions that it's worse than I originally felt. Even the "good" tracks on here aren't memorable enough to listen to any mroe than once or twice before getting bored.

This is such a low key effort. I certainly won't be buying it and this reaffirms the likelihood that I will be skipping future Tiesto events....I did have some great times at his shows though.

i like 4-5 tracks.. on any regular artist album its usually 1 good track and the rest is .. so being tiesto, i think a lot of you just want to on him regardless what he puts out 8)

artist albums are a waste of time anyway. Their listening value is minimal in my opinion because the tracks aren't mixed. Dj's should always release their stuff in mixed form, not just a bunch of singles arranged randomly. That's the opposite of what they do, or at least, are SUPPOSED to do.

I'd rather have Tiesto make at least ONE quality mix cd every couple of years than waste his time turning out ing crap like this.

Exactly! Which is why I will wait patiently for his next ISOS.

I tend to see 'elements of life' and 'driving to heaven' and 'ten seconds before sunset' as the standouts... carpe noctrum being his new traffic-esque big area anthem, its not a bad cd by all means

ISOS 4 was tolerable but I really thought ISOS 5 was just a collection of random tunes thrown together in a week. There was no flow, hardly any emotion...half the tracks were simply "white noise", etc. He also puts too much of his own label on his mix albums these days too, when he should be sampling the best stuff available across the scene...but that's business.

I rather liked both. On ISOS5, CD1 was especially good imo. From tracks 2-8, it's just continuous awesomeness. But just my opinion. i'm neutral when it comes to Tiesto - I don't love him nor hate him, so i'll give ISOS6 a listen, and if I like it enough, I'll buy it. I'm not saying I'll buy it REGARDLESS, you know? (That honour is reserved for Dieselboy's next album, w00t)

no me either. I once was so into Tiesto that I bought his cd's without even sampling them. For example, Nyana, ISOS3, etc, which weren't bad CDs when I think about it. But I really started to wonder when I bought Parade of the Athletes. That was a pretty ty CD, with a few notable exceptions. Luckily, I heard Just Be a few times before I was going to buy it and that was just an AWFUL "artist album".

You're right about the first CD of ISOS5. There are some pretty good tracks on there but the 2nd CD did nothing for me so I can't give it a really good grade. Both ISOS4 and ISOS5 could have been much stronger had they been ONE cd and not two. I'll definitely check out ISOS6 but as I usually do these days, sample before purchase.;)
