First EDM experience? (pg. 2)

Big Boss
My sister used to go to house parties back in the day, and I used to hear her rave about them. She used to go to RPM (now Guv) and I used to always listen to the live to airs. That was around 1993-1994.

Then I got into rock hardcore and stopped listening to house.

And then I heard Pete Heller's - Big Love and the rest is history.

It was probably Darude - Feel the Beat. I first heard that tune in 2000 or so and wondered how music could ever make you feel like you had limitless energy; and that beat, Oh that beat - no other music has such a driving force behind it. A relentless, thumping beat that ruins your hearing forever, but you know it's worth it.

And as far as the first event goes, it would have to be Rank 1 @ the Guvernment. To walk into that place not knowing a thing about it or knowing another person in that place was like no experience ever before. After dropping off the coat and rounding the corner, my jaw dropped and expletives were mumbled. This was a real club, and this would be where I would spent thousands of dollars and countless nights over the next few years.

Welcome to EDM.

..The Next day on His site, he wrote that Guv was his most favourite club in the world.. I'm not sure as to what happened after and why he was never booked to play the main room..
