Destiny Events - Feb 10th, @ Docks Toronto - IMP PLEASE READ

Hi Guys,

Usually I wont do this, but I want to bring to your attention as to how I was treated by Destiny Event's management team recently.

Feb 10th, Sturday, they had an event lined up at Docks night club. I had VIP tickets for a friend, myself and my fiance. My friend unfortunately had a death in the family, due to which none of us could attend. We had spoken to the Ticket Break company, we were told that if we dont use the tickets, our tickets will get refunded.

However, ticketbreak management told us a few days later that they cant refund the tickets nor can they provide any compensation. We were advised by Ticket break to get in touch with the event organization, which in this case is Destiny for any further consideration.

We tried calling them millions of times, they dont answer their phones, they dont return messages, they dont have the courtesy to even email us back. Isn't trance music suppose to unite us as one? Whereas destiny management, they dont even care for the fact that I had spent 250 dollars almost for three tickets and yet they could not show any compassion towards my situation. The least they could have done was offer me tickets for any future events.

As trance lovers, we should boycott Destiny's events as you get nothing but disrespect from them. How can a company be successful when they cant even call their customers back?

Can anyone guide me here as to what to do? I mean this is not a small amount. I got nothing out of it. Does this mean that these idiots dont care about anyone dying?

Sorry if I come off rude, but only thing to do is get over it.

My grandfather was here visiting, and he was diagnosed with cancer and was given 3 weeks to live. We had to get him back home immediatly. Well his return flight was booked for 2 months later. What happened? We had to buy new ariplane tickets, and the other ones could not be used. No one compensated us. What we did? Got over it cuz life is a ing bitch. Oh no companies dont care about anyone alive or dead when it comes to money.

ticketbreak didnt want to refund you the money and wanted to get you off their back so they pointed their finger at destiny. i really doubt you will get your money back since destiny didnt cancel the event.

If they said that, they were probably mis informed.

I don't know any ticket vendor that states that they refund the price of the ticket.

Check the website. They probably have in the policy that states that they do not refund the price of tickets under any situation.

Going by that comment any small ounce of sympathy I had for you is gone out the window. I don't know if maybe you are completely and utterly ignorant about buying tickets through any ticket agent but sales are ALWAYS final.

From ticketbreak's site:
Can I cancel my ticket purchase if I change my mind about attending the event?
No. All tickets sold on TICKETBREAK.com are final sale and no refunds or exchanges are issued. Please refer to our Polices and Procedures section for more information.

You could have easily sold them on craigslist or even TA if you couldn't go. Sucks to be you.

suck it up lad. happens.

one thing i do have to say tho is that Destiny management could or maybe should atleast call the fella back and tell him he is outta luck.

I don't mean to sound insensitive, but Destiny followed through on their end, and the event happened. That should be the end of it. They were not at fault for you not being able to attend. Ya it sucks that your freind had a death in his family, ya it sucks that you lost out on some cash, but life goes on.

If you have tickets to a leaf game and don't show, is maple leafs spots and entertainment going to refund your money? doubtful.

If you have tickets to a big concert and don't make it.. are you going to get your money back from the promoter? again.. doubtful

Just because this event featured trance doens't mean they have any obligation to refund money to anyone that was not able to attend for a reason that was not the fault of the promoter.
