Trying PMing Dj Os/2 or originalvibe through the message board

Although, I wouldn't recommend calling for a boycott.

Do you have an email or something from Ticketbreak where they stated that your tickets could be refunded?
Time2Burn
I honestly don't see your gripe with Destiny. You should really take it up with Ticket Break for giving you misinformation.

I have never seen an event where you can get refunds for unused tickets... Does the Air Canada Centre do such things for concerts?

BTW look up "Sonic State" or "Wintergalactic" one of the worst ticket fiasco's in recent years in T.O. You're lucky you didn't buy tickets for that. Hundreds of people lost the money.

All I got to say is if you buy tickets IN ADVANCE and then you decide you dont wanna go, or find out you cant go... well, thats the risk you run in buying them in advance. !

WHen buying in advance you assume some risk (that you cant go for whatever reason). If you dont want that risk, then dont buy in advance (yes, I am aware thats not always feasible too).

It's a small gamble that sometimes has to be taken, and when you you cant make it, it just sucks, but such is life.

you have to be aware of this reality when buying in advance.

you buy the ticket in advance pretty much guaranteeing your ability to make it into this event when you arrive. (thats the onus on the promoter/venue/comany/whatever. that if you show up with this ticket, you get in)

but you are responsible for making sure you are able to arrive and do arrive at the event itself. (thats the onus on you, that you are able to attend do show up... bc buying hte ticket only really guaranteed you a spot to this event IF you show. if you dont show up... you still have a spot... you just werent able to use that spot, but that spot was still made available to you. the future is always uncertain...)

Similar things happened with PvD at Roxy last year. If ticket holders got there too late...they couldn't get in b/c the place was already packed.

The TOTA unification is strong in this thread. I've never seen this many people unanimously agreeing with each other on TA. <3

try up to $7! absolutely absurd! if I can get my tickets elsewhere i.e. at the club or at a record shop, ticketmaster can count on not getting a penny of my money

I feel for you, but unfortunately you're out of luck. I understand that a call-back would have been a courtesy to receive, but honestly, you should never have really expected one. This is a simple business transaction. You paid for a service, and that service was delivered. The service wasn't directed nor aimed at you directly, and your presense was not a requirement for their agreements to be made, which they were. P.L.U.R., while a noble ideal, doesn't really fly in the real world I'm afraid...
Don't take it personally, just learn from it. Next time, scalp your tickets, or just sell them through these, and other, message boards.

HAHAHAHA, sorry guys, I was out of the city for a conference. All your comments are appreciated. Well the fact of the matter is, I was given wrong information by Ticket Break. I am pissed off at Destiny, as although I understand the non-refund policy, an organization should have the courtesy to call someone back. That is just a rule of being a professional. I am sure most of us here are working, grown up, and we have all had our professional trainings in our fields.

I know my money is gone, but all i'm upset for the courtesy, which I did not see from Destiny. Due to which I will do everything possible to trash them, to ruin their name, as I do work as a Director for a Media Communication/PR firm in Toronto, so I do have numerous contacts in the industry and I will do everything in my contacts/power to make sure destiny calls me and simply apologizes for NOT RETURNING MY EMAILS/MSGS.

Simple. Enjoy ya'all.

I'm still trying real hard to understand how Destiny is responsible for you not being able to make it to one of their events.
