I mean like really nice parks, where you can just chill anytime of day or night; go for a nice jog or bike ride etc...

also, any parks that have nice overlook view of the city would be great.

Lakeshore West has some really nice parks. If you want some good starting spots then head to "Kipling & Lakeshore" and just head south on Kipling past Lakeshore. That's just the starting point though. You can head east from that spot on Lakeshore and turn right (south) on any of these streets: 10th-2nd St. Also try the park just east of Mimco, I can't remember the name, but its close to Humber Loop (between Mimico and Humber Loop to be specific). Great view of downtown Toronto from there, trust me on this.

Edwards Garden. Not much of a jog or a bike spot though. On Lawrence and Leslie IIRC.

E.T Seton park has a pretty big trail following the Don River goes for miles and miles.

I would love to find a nice trail or park to run this spring, the roads are hard on your joints.

Anyone know a good place in the North York area?

Depends where in North York you are. There's a park trail that starts at Sheppard and Leslie, the entrance is on the North-West corner, and it runs north through a nature reserve. Its a good chunk of kilometers.

cloud gardens must be really nice in the summer to just hang out and chill, its smack middle of downtown though, and tiny, but it has a waterfall and a greenhouse, theres a half circle of trees that surrounds the park, so like i said, must be nice in the summer.

I hear regent park is nice at night...

...um...yeah. Like seomeone mentioned, there are a lot of nice parks just north of Eglinton off of Yonge street. Lawrence Park, Sunnybrook park...but its pretty expensive for some of them.

Go to google map and put on satellite view so you can see how the parks are layed out or something..
