Hmmm St Patricks Day...never really celebrated it much. It's a complete farce over here anyway, loads of mindless hoods roaming about in Celtic and GAA tops, doesn't really seem like an inclusive day to me.
What's the deal with people wanting to be Irish...it's weird...I live on the Island yet I don't call myself Irish. Strange world! |

Well...the fact that people all around the globe dress up as leprechauns and drink green guiness to celebrate a day that has nothing to do with them...
It would be like me celebrating Independance Day. Nothing to do with me. |

Very good point. I'm half Irish and when I'm out on St Patricks I feel a bit like I'm hijacking it then you hear some twat saying 'Oh my great grandmother was Irish' I feel like saying do you want a ing medal or something.
North Americans make me laugh with their celebration of St Patricks most of you are about as Irish as a Pakistani most of them who have Irish blood are about 1/20th Irish along with about 10 other nationalities.
Ricky's got a good idea with Independance Day, how do you fancy dressing up as a fat ****? Drinking watered down beer? Sounds like quite a good idea. I was thinking Ramadan myself was quite looking forward to wearing a turban. |

Then why even bother saying that you are celebrating St. Patricks day...it's just another piss-up at the weekend. Why do people say it's an 'excuse' to get airlocked? |

Yeah I find it funny when American's say 'yeah I'm 1/10 Irish...2/10 Italian...' etc. Load of bollocks.
Anyway Mr 0'Callaghan, this 4th July I propose that we dress up in hotdog suits, drink 'soda' all day, call everyone we meet 'dude', all while waving a huge USA flag.
